Follow-up Comment #13, bug #45816 (project octave): It's already marked as a regression so that's fine. Adding BIST tests for filesep consistency to make_absolute_filename and canonicalize_file_name would be good. If there are a lot of tests, including other functions that you want to check like pwd or fullfile, it would be better to create a new general .tst file in the test/ directory to house them.
