Yes, that was exactly my intension when I initially wrote this interface
function. But you are right that the function should be documented and that it
should appear somewhere in the manual (probably with a less scary name and
without underscores).

As for the "pkg" handling the registration, I have no opinion since I
basically know nothing about our package manager. Let's just wonder what would
be the actual benefit and how much manpower we want to devote to change
something that already works?

BTW, I forgot to mention after testing, your PKD_ADD script should clear all
the variables that it creates so that the base workspace is left as it was
before "pkg load chrono".
