You identified yourself that this bug report was caused by incomplete
documentation. So I don't think we need to open a new report.
Btw, GNU Octave is free software that is developed by volunteers. You are
welcome to help improve Octave (either by providing patches for issues you
feel are important or by paying a developer to fix them). But I feel like it
is undue to demand deadlines to fix issues like you did.
