Follow-up Comment #31, bug #59373 (project octave):
John: Thanks for the change. Maybe it doesn't matter much for this library,
but if I understand correctly, setting CFLAGS this way replaces the default
"-g -O2" with just " -fstack-protector" because $(CFLAGS) is not set in the
mxe-octave Makefile. I can't think of a better way to fix this so I checked
in the following additional change:
