Follow-up Comment #22, bug #59373 (project octave):
@jwe: You still might have been spot on.
With the attached patch, static libraries are no longer built for sundials.
There might have been a change (in cmake?) that broke setting
BUILD_SHARED_LIBS and BUILD_STATIC_LIBS from the toolchain file.
