Follow-up Comment #5, bug #59599 (project octave): Thank you for testing. IIRC, a program might exit with code 3 when "abort" is called by some function. Could you please try again, but before you continue execution with "c", try to add a breakpoint in that function with the (gdb) command "b abort". Does the breakpoint get hit?
