Follow-up Comment #4, bug #61821 (project octave): Compiling with visibility flags isn't completely implemented for Octave 7. It is disabled by default (and only thought to be used by developers at this point). Any help in completing that task is very much appreciated. Preferably in the form of patches submitted to savannah. (Please open new reports for those if you like.)
