Follow-up Comment #30, bug #61994 (project octave): Yes, any .oct file that introduces a new type should derive from octave_base_dld_value instead of just octave_base_value so that it will automatically track the values created by that dynamically loaded function and prevent the .oct file from being closed until all functions and values that it creates are deleted.
