Follow-up Comment #32, bug #63404 (project octave):

at least in the Windows world, "access key" is the term for the underlined
letters in the menu item name, while "keyboard accelerator" is synonym with
"shortcut key", the combination shown to the right of the menu item:

the terminology seems valid elsewhere:

however, I could not confirm the situation in the Linux world.
not a big deal though, as long as the term "menu" appears right next to the
term.
