Follow-up Comment #16, bug #63437 (project octave):

In reply to comment #9: While fixing some translation issues, I realized that
workspace_model is created at the beginning of the base_qobject constructor
and therefore well before defining the settings object is defined. However,
the notice_settings method in workspace_model is not called from its
constructor and should not be called before the main window is requesting all
dock widgets to load their settings.
