Bah, yes. That's Linus as always. I mean, he invented it. How poor a
system would it be if he wasn't in favor of it?
Give the man a break. He favored bittorrent, which was clearly not
written by him---and of course BT is non-free, which is both against
Linus' judgement and caused a lot of friction in the kernel team.
The point being that Linus is a pragmatist, and is very unlikely to
cover up deficiencies of a tool for non-technical reasons.
