Yes. The graphics that you used do not really correspond to the current octave "image/trademark".

I have attached a new graphics which I think corresponds to the current Octave trademark. Is it acceptable?

It looks better. But the text is not an "official" representation of octave, just a former proposal that I happen to re-use. It should simply say "GNU Octave" with a normal font. But anyway, you really shouldn't worry about that right now. Those are minor things.
