Yeah that could be a problem, but ratpoison is so light weight that restarting 
the Xserver isn't so much of an issue.

Yeah the patch only kills ratpoison after something has been run.

Patch attached. It isn't too many lines of code. The only problem 
may be is that the patch is against 0.0.5 not the latest CVS, this is
because I was having stability problems with the latest version. Hopefully
it should still work, if not let me no and I'll try and play with the
latest version again.
