This is not a good policy for applying patches.

This is not a good policy for accepting patches.

All patches should be applied by either Ryan or myself. This is due to
the tendency for others not to understand the subtleties of
ratpoison. As a result bugs that would be obvious to me get into the
source, and because I don't see it (my fault) it stays until someone
finds it and nobody knows why its happening.

Features should most DEFINITELY be applies and approved by Ryan or
myself.

So, Gergely Nagy, could you refrain from applying patches to the main
source. You are however free to apply patches within the
debian/redhat/freebsd/etc domain. If this means making source changes,
get them approved and applied (If its simple you could do it but not
without our approval) by us.

My main concern is that features are being added that don't reflect
what ratpoison wants to be. Controversial ideas such as :move and
:resize are being seriously considered which is intolerable.

So, what do you think?
