I guess this falls into the category of "flashy wank", or maybe just
"wank" :-)

Are you seriously trying to argue that the centring of messages is
_useless_? You centered the frame indicator and license text, for
example. Wouldn't the upper right corner have been nicer?

I suspect you are being just a little contrary :-)

Could you explain further. How does it differ from the other 'gravity'
commands in _practice_ from a user perspective.

Well, as stated above it just seems unnecessarily inconsistent, and
inconsistency, as you know, is bad, bad, err... bad.

IMNSHO it is "ridiculous" to arbitrarily restrict the location
possibilities, because you just don't like some of them. I've been using
the bar centred for almost a week now and there it will stay.
