You could try using either ceder's fsh, together with any random
rsh/ssh program, or lsh's gateway mode. The idea is to create a
connection, with keyexchange stuff and authentication, once, and then
reuse that connection for the cvs operations. It makes remote cvs a
*lot* faster.
