I'm also Cc:ing this to overseers, the mailing list of those of us
caring and feeding gcc.gnu.org.

Overseers, given how overloaded gcc.gnu.org is these days, and that the
next upgrade seems months away, I wrote the following to Loic earlier
this week:

As far as I can see, this caused no problems on the gcc.gnu.org side,
but I suppose we should wait another couple of days until we announce
subversions.gnu.org for anonymous CVS.

(I'm away next week, but if any of you wants to update the cvs.html
webpage after the weekend (Phil?), this is pre-approved.)

Using CVSup instead of rsync probably solves this problem, see
<http://gcc.gnu.org/cvsup.html> for a bit of information. (Well,
actually just a link how to proceed.) I believe that's the road
to take, long term.
