Jon Bardin <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: Protos
System name: protos
This package wants to apply for inclusion in the GNU project
Protos is a http server written in pure php. It\'s uses range from simple
webservers to advanced xmlrpc servers. It is written as a class, so it will be
easy to extend on, and develop applications with. My plans are to convert this
to the backend of my CMS project SiG <http://freshmeat.net/projects/sig>. The
basic premise is that this class handles the action of getting the clients
request, parsing the headers. Then it passes control over to a user defined
method, that generates the response, which is then sent, using the correct
headers and format. I am looking for complete HTTP/1.1 implentation. I have a
demo of it running at <http://banzai.sig.mine.nu:11111/?> Either connect to it
with a web browser or use a xmlrpc client.
