A package was submitted to savannah.gnu.org.
This mail was sent to address@hidden, address@hidden

LAMY Jean-Baptiste <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: Romance
System name: romance
This package does NOT want to apply for inclusion in the GNU project

My project (Romance) is a dynamic object sharing protocol destined to dynamic
languages : script language (Python, Perl, Ruby, TCL, ...), Lisp dialect (Guile
(Scheme), Emacs lisp, ...) and other (Smalltalk, ...). Objects are totallt
transparently acceessed in whatever language you use. The protocol is very
light (< 500line of code) and can be easily implemented in any script language !
The project can be seen as a free and dynamic alternative to CORBA / Bonobo or
.NET.
The project includes the object sharing protocole, but also a full library that
will be available from ALL the previously cited languages -- including a GUI
toolkit ! The toolkit will be called WiSe for WIdget SErver and will probably
based on an already existant one (GTK ? or maybe a meta toolkit?), but ALL the
widget of the different apps will be owned by the WiSe process and not by the
apps process, for very easy widget embedding.

It currently support Python, Guile and C, without any GUI stuff ;-)
