There no shell account for normal users.
some users have a kerberos access but it's only for gnu.org
hackers, not for savannah hosted projects.
If you absolutely require a shell account on savannah, you
should write to address@hidden explaining why, but
basically there's nothing you can do with a shell account on
savannah that you cant do "from the outside" regarding your
project CVS, and so, the until you have a really good reason
to get this kind of account, you'll probably dont get it
(it's a serious security issue).

In general we don't give out shell accounts to the GNU project management
servers, this is considered to be a security risk.
If you are a GNU maintainer it's possible that you could get one. You should
contact the GNU accounts team.
It would be better to try and solve your problem with CVS: can you tell us more
about it?
