Patrick Schnorbus <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: educrypt
System name: educrypt
Type: non-GNU

Description:
This project is crypto software for educational (learn how the basics of
cryptography work) and entertainment (crack the encryptet stuff) purposes. It
uses simple algorithms like CAESAR or VIGNERE (more algorithms are planned).
You can learn the basics of cryptography with it: It en-/decrypts files and
explains the algorithms in its documentation. Nobody should use it to encrypt
important/secret information with it because the algorithms used are NOT secure.

You can find the sources at http://www.happyhacking.de/educrypt/
It is in a very early state of development, so please don\'t expect too much
yet.

I plan to implement more algorithms later (e.g. the famous ENIGMA).
