An idea was suggested yesterday that the name of the project be changed
from the "Malayalam GNOME project" to the "GNU-Malayalam Project" and
that would solve the issue of conflicting intrests if at all there may
arise one.

I did re-apply with the new name "GNU-Malayalam Project", and i also did
re-articulate the objectives of the new project and also incorporated
some ideas on how the "GNU-Malayalam Project" can fund itself and also
contribute to the Free Software Foundation.

My idea is to form a team, and not to do the project myself, as this may
consume a lot of time. The inspiration for this project came from the
PUN Linux team who transilated the GNOME interface to punjabi in a very
short span of time. The team included engineering students like myself
and iam optimistic that given the chance we will able to form a highly
motivated, goal oriented team that will be able to complete the project
within a set time frame. It is for this exact reason that i applied for
a project status on the savannah.

My request to you is to kindly re-view the project under the new name
"GNU-Malayalam Project", and if its newly articulated objectives, which go
beyond just transilating the GNOME interface to malayalam as was the case
when it was applied under the name "Malayalam GNOME Project", are found to be
worthy in the eyes of the savannah administration, then kindly approve it as
early as possible so that we can form a team and start working on it at the
earliest.

Regards,

Vivek Varghese Cherian.
