Details:
It is not at all clear to me how "Docs" work or how they are supposed to be
used.
I have wanted to create some simple html "how-to" docs for my project and
have them easily accessible from the "Docs" link at the top of my Summary
page. I.E. a "how-to install", "how-to store files", "how-to use the disc
list feature", etc.
Several months ago I tried to figure out how I would do that, I dug around
for over an hour in the "Cookbook", "In Depth Guide", and searched the site.
I did find a document that said I had to do something with CVS, but it was
quite confusing to me and I finally gave up.
This morning I tried to find the CVS document again to see if I could figure
it out this time. However, now I can't even find that document.
One thing that really confuses me is why when I click on the "Docs" ->
"Browse" at the top of my Summary page, does it list all of the documents for
the Savannah website itself? I would much rather have it say: "This dummy
hasn't created any documents yet" or something to that effect.
I thought perhaps I could get a clue by looking at some other projects "Docs"
to see what they did. I looked at several of the Official GNU projects "Docs"
and they all appeared to be the same Savannah docs that show up on my project.
I didn't see any documents pertaining to the specific project.
I tried clicking on "Docs -> Submit" and it takes me to something, but I have
no idea what it does or how to use it. And it also has what appears to be an
error message:
"Undefined variable: row_class in
/usr/src/savane/frontend/php/include/trackers/cookbook.php on line 258"
Could someone point me to any documentation on how I would upload my
documents so they appear under the "Docs" -> "Browse"?
Thanks
-Scott
