SWT is not mandatory for the project at all. 
Eclipse and its plugin is only used for helping developpment. The software
well not be bound to eclipse in anyway.

If users or sponsor wish a GUI it will be built using the GNU alternative to
swing/swt or it will be build in another language than Java

I don't mind
We have to check and compile JavAct against the GCJ compiler and run it using
the GNU classpath to be sure there is no dependancy.
