I confirm that Festival 2.5 as well as 2.4 work in Slint,
with speech-dispatcher started by orca, thanks for your answers.

Additional question:
in the context of orca + speech-dispatcher,
this needs to start the festival server before orca:
festival --server &

I could do that in a ~/.config/autostart/festival.desktop or something
like that.

But I need to start the server only if the user wants to use festival
with speech-dispatcher

How would you do that?
