So am I. Maybe as/when/if my knowledge of 'c' and the various
internals improves, I'll be
able to actively submit patches and make contributions, etc, etc.
Time is always a factor,
plus, as I get older, the less I like being sat at a computer!!

The wiki is the place to start then,
http://wiki.swftools.orgMattias will only too pleased to have your input in whever form it takes.

Sorry! Typo! ( smacks self on hand! ). Typing,
swfdump -X -Y yourfile.swf
will give you the dimensions of the swf you are interested in. Hence
I was saying, try a conversion, then use swfdump to check what
happens. If you see a difference, then
you have answered your own question. Tral and error, and a process
of
elimination
works wonders, even for an end-user.

Trial an error! Featues come and go. Type the following command and
see what happens,,
pdf2swf -s ppmdpi=100 yourfile.pdf -o yourfile.swf

See above.

Again see above! ;o)
There is a lot I don't know about PDF's or Flash file format myself.
