Dear Friends,

I'm happy to announce the version 0.47 of synaptic today. This is
mostly a "bugfix/translation update/documentation update/UI improvent"
release. It also fixes some rare but annoying bugs, so you all should
update to 0.47 :)

There aren't any new features. The context menu is reworked and looks
better now, the common tab in the main window got a facelift. And
lots of documentation and translation updates. A _big_ "thank you" to
all those busy translators (and to Sebastian for his hard work with
the documentation)!

Here are the complete NEWS:
 - Fixed many i18n issues (thanks to Ales Kapica and Jean-Michel Poure)
 - New Czech translation (thanks to Ales Kapica)
 - New Arabic translation (thanks to Ossama Khayat)
 - Updated Polish translation (thanks to Emil Nowak)
 - Updated Spanish translation (thanks to Francisco J. Fernandez)
 - Updated French translation (thanks to Jean-Michel Poure)
 - Updated Japanese translation (thanks to Daisuke Suzuki)
 - Updated Chinese translation (thanks to Liu Jack)
 - Updated German translation
 - Minor documentation updates (thanks Sebastian)
 - Reworked the context menu for packages
 - Some ui improvements in the common tab
 - Use units according to the SI spec now (thanks to Alexander Winston)
 - New summary window (thanks Sebastian)
 - A lot of minor bug and typo fixes

Get it at the usual place at:
http://savannah.nongnu.org/files/?group=synaptic

Sebastian made RedHat 9 and Fedora rpms and a backport of synaptic to
debian woody (aka "stable"). For the woody package, you also need the
backported gnome2.2 packages. I put the rpms online at the savannah
page.

As always, feedback is welcome :)

bye,
 Michael
