Set the variable CXXOPTIMIZE in src/common.makefile to "-ggdb".

That will disable optimizations in compile full debugging information for gdb.

If you want to install the debug enabled version, you must also set
the STRIP variable in the root Makefile to "true".

PS: that compilation produce a perfectly stable texmacs with g++-3.2
here on my Debian testing/unstable box.
