The kind of bug which was mentioned is quite unlikely though.
The best way to know would be to recompile TeXmacs-1.0.0.17
for Cygwin and reuse that version of TeXmacs for a while.

I more or less agree with this analysis, except that merging the changes
up with the mainline might be higher a priority, since this is also
useful for the users.
