Hallo,
I currently sit on the same project, but I even fail on building the gcc

(I did setup my build on the bingo600 scripts and updated the package
versions).
However during my search I stumbled across this link

which ends up in a misconfiguration issue.
Could you post the ./configure-spells of your builds?
Axel
Hi Axel,
I followed exactly the ./configure-spells examples on:
http://www.nongnu.org/avr-libc/user-manual/install_tools.html
Substituting my install path as $PREFIX (I actually cut and pasted the
configure args). :=)
I did originally try to build using the binutils that came with my
distro, but that produced a whole swathe of errors, so I junked it and
followed the above to the letter, using the latest versions.
There is one gotcha (that is mentioned above) in that binutils and gcc
require you make a directory to build in (i.e. not in the root dir of
the expanded tarball).
Also make install of avr-libc could not be installed using 'sudo' (as
root's $PATH is not set), but 'su -' to get root's environment.
Hth,
Bob
