Umm, but the previous behaviour was also a bug. Indeed it was pretty
much the same bug - i.e. unable to cut and paste between certain
X apps and GNustep. The new version fixes the apps which were
previously broken, but breaks apps that were previously working.

Unless we want to get into a "my set of X11 apps is more important
that your set of X11 apps" type argument then there is no good
reason for choosing one set over another is there ?

The only useful way forward is for someone who knows lots about X11
innards to fix it to support both types of app.  But I dont have that
kind of knowledge, and I assume from your coments you dont either :-(
