Hi,

At first, I apologise if my mails offended someone, it was not intentional.

Here few last explanations to end this lenthgy thread:

Concerning the bug, i have said that i have problems 1. with latin2 characters 2. with
cut&paste between X and GS in general and 3. with cut and paste of strings > 1024
characters. So there were three kinds of problems together. I was really frustrated by that
misbehaviour at the time of writing my emails, because at that time I wanted to do quite a lot
of quick cut & pastes between GS and X. It used to work. (Yes, know that I can still
cut&paste using Ink.app and save to a file, but then I still can use assembly for coding).

Yes, I play and pretend that I am end-user and I will allways do that when
working. All developers dealing with the code/functionality, that end users
will be directly in contact with, HAVE to pretend that THEY (developers) are
end-users! And in fact, the discussed issue is out of my scope of knowledge,
therefore I am end user of that functionality.

About hacks... any requirement to change source code using autoconf/configure
IS modification of source code) should be considered as inappropriate and
therefore it is not for end-users. Here I would like to thank Fred for hist
NSDefaults way of having an option.

Btw. I did not offended you in any manner in my emails and I found your saying (among
others in neighbour paragraphs): "So I was quite surprised when I found you
identified yourself as GNUstep developer somewhere. " really offensive to me. But
this does not belong to this list, please read my next email.

Have a nice day,

Stefan
