And what about quoted terms, like ``this one,'' shouldn't the comma be
before the right double quote?
Until the advent of computers, punctuation was always inside quotes in
English.
But now, with the need for more exact quotations, it's common to have
punctuation outside of quotes. Most GNU documentation has always
followed that convention. Heck, even TUGboat has punct outside quotes,
and Barbara (Beeton, the editor) is about as traditional a typographer
as they come ...
I also skipped the change to texinfo.tex. In program code and comments,
I typically use -- instead of ---, since they don't get typeset. Not
that I try to be 100% consistent about it.
