    Attached patch to doc/info.texi corrects a typo and a mistake, 
    adds missing periods to a menu, and treats the double dashes in a 
    consistent way.

As Stepan said, use of --- is intentional, and normal in
English/American typography.  So I didn't make those changes, but I did
install the rest, sometimes altering them slightly.

This correction was correct :), but I reworded it slightly anyway:

 Besides a @samp{Next}, a node can have a @samp{Previous} link, or an
 @samp{Up} link, or both.  As you can see ...
