As I recall, this behavior has cropped up in 3.6 and 3.7 of gnuradio for me but it wasn't much of an issue at the time.

​It turns out this is a long-standing bug in GRC that has been around since its inception. Sebastian has fixed it and it will get pushed out to our maint and master branches shortly.​
