I upgraded the firmware to 2.0e, the only one I could find on Sony's
site, and tried again but with the same result:

I then tried growisofs with this result:

But I think that is because I need to format the disc before using
growisofs as it does multisession recording, correct?

I then tried cdrecord-ProDVD which worked and played in my DVD player
