Hi !

I have a big problem with my TEAC DV W50E (IDE) under Linux SuSE 8.2 !

During the boot i get the following infos:

Apr 16 00:08:43 PCNEU kernel: hdd: attached ide-scsi driver.
Apr 16 00:08:43 PCNEU kernel: scsi1 : SCSI host adapter emulation for IDE
ATAPI devices
Apr 16 00:08:43 PCNEU kernel: Vendor: TEAC Model: DV-W50E
Rev: 1.10
Apr 16 00:08:43 PCNEU kernel: Type: CD-ROM
ANSI SCSI revision: 02
Apr 16 00:08:43 PCNEU kernel: Attached scsi CD-ROM sr0 at scsi1, channel 0, id
0, lun 0
Apr 16 00:08:43 PCNEU kernel: sr0: scsi3-mmc drive: 32x/32x writer cd/rw
xa/form2 cdda tray
Apr 16 00:08:43 PCNEU kernel: Uniform CD-ROM driver Revision: 3.12

If i start

cdrecord-ProDVD dev=1,0,0 -v /backup/dvdfile

everything seems to work but at the end of creating the dvd

i got the message "Fixating ..." on the screen and a few seconds later

this messages in /var/log/messages:

Apr 16 01:25:08 PCNEU kernel: scsi : aborting command due to timeout : pid
113680, scsi1, channel 0, id 0, lun 0 0x00 00 00 00 00 00

After that message the pc hangs.

I have this problem everytime i create a dvd.

Dirk
