None of those examples are particularly relevant. Emacs, despite
appearances, is not an app. Rather, it is a platform. And it is in
the forefront of the free software movement, which at least the first
two of those projects cannot claim.
Emacs's requirements for contribution, therefore, are likely to be
rather different.
