Its build requirements are much less simple.
In any case, a real improvement to the build system would be to make the
MS-DOS build use autoconf. That way, we can have one build system, not
two (autoconf and GNU sed.)
Adding a third (CMake) is pointless and has nothing to do with the
matter at hand. Qt support can be easily added without CMake.
