Dear Rudy,

Even if a Belgian, I shall write this message in English because it is cc'ed
to OFSET members, who speak English and French (many)

I have discovered with a lot of interest your project

GNU/Linux for schools http://www.nongnu.org/glms

that aim at developping support material for courses around GNU/linux.

It looks to me very good, and though I could understand it quite well, the
fact that it is first in Flemisch, makes it a little more difficult to
translate it to other languages than if the basic version would have been in
English (network effect).

Before tryingto find people to help me (lack of time) to start with the
translation, I come to you to see if you have already had any request for such
a translation 1/ to English, 2/ to French.

OFSET (see http://www.ofset.org) is an international association aimed at
supporting the education around free software. As such we developp gcompris
and drgeo (an equivalent to the geometry software CabriGeometre with many
addons) and the Freeduc-cd, a cd full of free software and documentations for
education. We are now also contributing to the translation of SkoleLinux, a
solution to manage a server ant X-terminal in schools, coming from Norway now
(if I understood well) recognized as DebianEdu.

We are setting up the organization of a session related to education during
the next Fosdem. Would you like to join ? (I would consider that a
presentation about the manuals you are developping would be very interesting,
as well as a physical meeting to meet each other)

Maybe you could find interesting to collaborate with us ?

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Nicolas

PS I put Herman Bruyninckx, a long time free software advocate, not only for
education, in cc. in the hope that he would be interested in joining Ofset and
such an event during Fosdem.

----- End forwarded message -----

bedoelen daarmee?

Rudy
