I can supply maps that illustrate the problem if anyone has trouble
reproducing this.
I have also discovered an old saved game started originally in 0.8.16,
used also with 0.8.21, which causes 0.8.22 to crash when it tries to
load it! (This is a 512 by 512 map that I randomly generated.)
