I was going to give it till wednesday before killing the subject line.
Is that an ok compromise?    Please be aware that part of the problem
is the sudden lag in gnu.org mail processing -- I think that has
stretched out what might otherwise have been a much shorter and
occaisionally amusing flamewar.
