Zack's statement was a bit overblown, but I don't think he was claiming
that every other project can or does happily use CVS -- after all, even
big projects that _do_ use CVS are typically not very pleased about it,
e.g. gcc -- but rather that linux's particular development style was
particularly ill-suited to it (linux development as always been very
decentralized), and so throws CVS's deficiencies into an even starker
light.
