Depends. The basic issue is that tla doesn't change the umask (such that
other developers in the same group don't necessarily have access to
created files). It's a low-level problem, and correspondingly can be
solved with low-level solution if need be. If you're storing your
repository somewhere with acl support (which is probably not a bad idea
in the first place), for instance, it's a complete non-issue.
