Yup. Furthermore, I wonder if solving it well for some popular office
tool might not lead to a _hugely_ popular application.
I wouldn't expect the average expert user of office tools, especially
tools for making fairly large documents, to really want the arch CLI
or to ever dig complex patch-flow diagrams -- but I'll bet that a
simple gatekeeper tree of an editor merging changes from writers would
be a helpful thing. (E.g., tech-writer dept making a manual; or
sales-dept making a quarterly status report with the contributors
carrying around branches on their laptops; or marketing and finance
working on an annual report.)
