[Gnu-arch-users] Beginner help request

I just installed arch. Following the tutorial instructions I created an
archive, started a new project and 'tla add'-ed the files I want to track.
Then I do 'tla import'. I get something like this:

--
These files violate naming conventions:

./.arch-ids/*.php.id
./htdocs/.jobs.php.swp
./htdocs/templates/.right_bar.html.swp
./templates_c/%%-13
./templates_c/%%-16
./templates_c/%%-20
./templates_c/%%-25

These apparent source files lack inventory tags:

./htdocs/trial
./htdocs/trial/db.php
./htdocs/trial/info.php
./htdocs/trial/jnum.php
./htdocs/trial/jnum2.php

import: import aborted
--

The instructions say "If you have received an error along the lines of
'These apparent source files lack inventory tags', please reread
'Inventory Tags for Source' and either add each file or change the
tagging-method to names."

I re-read the "Inventory Tags for Source" and according to what I
understand I need tags for all the files that I want to import, and the
other files will be skipped over. That's fine. The files that 'tla
import' lists as violating the naming conventions are all either vi edit
files or compiled templates that don't need to be in the archive. The
files that it lists as lacking inventory tags are working files that I
don't want to add to the archive yet.

I don't want to change the tagging method to names, because then it will
import a bunch of files that are named as source but which I don't want in
the archive.

So what do I need to do to go ahead and import the files that I have
tagged?

I'm using version tla-1.1p7. I know it's old. I'm on FreeBSD and that's
the version that's in the ports tree.

Thanks for help,

Oliver
