OK, got it.  Those are people I don't face so it's easy for me to
forget about their existence.  I'd be curious to know how many they
are.  (I know many people use aclocal without using automake, but I
have no idea how many people maintain aclocal.m4 by hand nowadays.)

So do I.  But as I've said, it's not only Libtool; basically every
maintainer has it own syntax.  I'll bring the issue on the gnulib list
to see what gets out of there.  Ideally we should settle on a uniform
syntax rather than letting aclocal cope with many syntaxes.
