Hi Valentin,
There was a typo  error on my previous test. - the file name. It should be new_pepsi_logo.eps not new_pepsi-logo.eps.  Now corrected and re-test.The error message is different from the previous email.

Ming

Hi Valentin,
I now use \\ or /, not \ (using \ creates the format issue). Here is the screen print.

Hi Valentin, Knute & David:
Here is my recent test run. I  also include the eps file that I use (I download from the internet - new_pepsi-logo.eps).  I also include one that was generated by frecobaldi v2.3.3 / lilypond v2.23.3 (Untitled_draw-squibble-1).
I am running on window 10.  I do not have an eps reader.  Even if I do I will not understand.
Thank you all for helping, much appreciated.
Shalom,
Ming

Or maybe I can’t. The format-specific error appears to not come from epsfile,
but from the Lilypond parser, so this means that the input is not correct.
This happes with \ instead of \\ or /.

>From the list-ref error I gathered:
eps-file->stencil reads the eps, discards anything after the first null
character, and then calculates the dimesions of the eps. These dimensions are
then accessed by list-ref. Now, if calculating the bounds fails (probably
because the file does not have valid postscript code) this returns #f, so all
the list-refs fail.

So you might want to check if your eps-file is in fact a valid eps file. Can
you attach the eps file you’re using?

Cheers,
Valentin
