WHY SHOULD THEY?You're making the classic - false - assumption that "everyone else is just like me".
A lot of people ONLY have chromebooks, tablets, or (gasp) even just a mobile phone.
One of my eternal bugbears is these companies that assume people just MUST have a smartphone - elderly people in particular often CAN'T USE smartphones ...
Just because *you* can't see a use - well I'm sure the OP can, otherwise why would he have created it?
