[Ltib] Installation error in Ubuntu

Dear support,
    When i try to install  LTIB for first time in ubuntu 8.10 system, it gave some textinfo compilation error.when i try to run after that it giving the following error.But me surprised why the textinfo is unpacked in a strange folder like this.. where may the problem occured

Remove this by hand if you really want to rebuild this package from scratch
